Spicewood is an unincorporated community in Travis County with a population of 7,666. Spicewood’s name came from the “spicewood” timber that grew along nearby Little Cypress Creek. Today, Spicewood offers a lot of outdoor activities, including swimming, boating, and hiking at Pace Bend Park and Muleshoe Bend, as well as the Krause Springs, a historic swimming hole and campground.
